History

AMG-PESCH stands for innovation and tradition. The first company, Wilhelm Pesch KG GmbH & Co., was founded in 1919.

The business scope was the sales of valves, fittings and measurement devices, mainly hand-operated in those days, for industry, machinery and plant engineering, water management and municipal utilities.

Founded in 1969, AMG Antrieb und Mechanik GmbH is one of the first companies who have specialised in manufacturing of pneumatic rack-and-pinion actuators for the automation of valves with rotary movement and continues to develop and deliver leading technologies until today.

Here, the patented design principle of rod-guided pistons has been found– a solution that helped to build our reputation because of their long service life and robustness in field application.

Since AbK Armaturenbau GmbH was founded in 1988 we have enhanced our valve programm by niche products and additional customised versions based on the ball valve principle.

Ball valves for higher temperature and pressure ratings, through-way and multiple-way valves, pig valves in special materials according to the requested demand, internal specification, resistance requirements or special operating conditions complete our product range.

Research and development take place in Cologne.. In addition to five domestic sales offices, the company has further branch operations in Europe and China.

The acquisition of AMG-Pesch by Eriks Germany at 01 February 2011 has created good conditions for sustainable development and common growth within a strong strategic partnership.

Product range, innovation and know-how of AMG-Pesch in industrial valves, actuators and complete control systems remain fully functional and will continuously be expanded.
