Positioners are used in the process industry for controlling chemical and physical processes. Positioners fitted to pneumatic control valves are used to assign the valve position and position signal. Depending on the respective requirement (e.g explosion protection), pneumatic or electro-pneumatic versions are used. Both analogue (4 - 20mA signal) and digital (bus-capable) activation is available. All interfaces are NAMUR-conformant.
The digital positioners we use have extended functionalities, such as autostart withself-calibration and self-diagnosis, and enable convenient on-site operation using local push-buttons and LEDs. Installation is performed either directly or in accordance with IEC 534 Part 6(NAMUR). Additional features: protection class IP 65 and NEMA 4X, explosion protection: EEx ia IIC T4 acc. to CENELEC or “Intrinsic Safety” acc. to FM and CSA.
